Fabrizio Tavernelli EN

Fabrizio Tavernelli, known for his long musical activity that began in the 1980s at the helm of En Manque D’Autre and later resulted in Acid Folk Alleanza (AFA), active throughout the following decade, can boast of a solid solo career that has seen him authoring albums that may not be of the easiest reception, but where there is no lack of ideas and quality.

Then again, Taver has never been one to settle, not interested in disposable projects, having not searched for shortcuts or for easy acclaim in his previous experiences.

The feedback however, especially with AFA, was not long in coming, given the undoubted value of albums such as “Fumana Mandala” and especially “Psychic Nomad,” both among the best works released by the Independent Producers Consortium. Records that eschewed fads and possessed a personal language, both narrative and merely musical.

Among the projects that were outside his band, but with which he then actively contributed, one of the most significant was certainly the one related to “Materiale Resistente,” released in 1995 for the 50th anniversary of the Liberation, of which he was the creator.

In short, the artist from Correggio has always been very attentive to the reality around him, not neglecting social issues. This is demonstrated all the more by his own works: four albums in which the soul of a singer-songwriter goes hand in hand with the never-quenched soul of an experimenter.
