The music of the Emilian Lûv is a whisper that calls and bewails, that shakes sleepy consciences by capturing sweetness and knowledge in its oratory. A marriage of music and literature where the narrative element configures its natural allegorical guise between tragedy and hope in deference to the epic sagas of Melville, Conrad and Stevensone and to reawaken the fire of a great dream: the dream of the sea.
These are sea stories that take us far away, to remote places, where the beginning and the end overlap and the nights will never be too dark as long as we have the strength to light our fires, hold each other close and begin to tell, while the guitar interweaves its sounds with those of the viola, cajon and flute, leading “I Giorni della Balena” into the bed of a touching and melancholy folk-rock, marked by the inevitable passing of time.
The Wolf unravels the plots of his stories, which appear as the intermediate stages of a unique journey, mixing his feelings with those of the listener and letting the acoustic harmonies, literary nuances, sung parts and the narrator’s voice become the vessel that cuts through the waves, without any fear of the rough seas or the mysteries hidden beyond the horizon, because we are certain that the white whale will take us beyond the limit of our fears.
